PRESCOTT VALLEY – The 1A boys and girls state championship games are slated to get underway tonight at Findlay Toyota Center.

The first of a championship doubleheader features the No. 1 St. David (28-2, 6-0 1A Tucson Southeast) girls taking on No. 2 Joseph City (28-7, 10-0 1A Copper) at 4 p.m.

Joseph City lost both matchups against St. David this season, but both contests took place before Thanksgiving.

In the nightcap, No. 1 Gregory School (27-3, 4-0 Tucson Northwest) takes on the boys from No. 2 North Valley Christian (22-9, 9-0 1A Central) at 5:30 p.m.

The two clubs have not met this season.
