Week 9: Snowflake’s Bryant throws 2 TDs to beat No. 14 Marcos de Niza 49-21

SNOWFLAKE — Brennan Bryant completed 10 of 19 passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns to lead Snowflake past No. 14-ranked Marcos de Niza 49-21 on Friday night.

Kanton Turley rushed for 151 yards on 11 carries for No. 17 Snowflake (5-2, 2-0 4A East Sky), which has won five straight since starting the season 0-2 with road losses to Bradshaw Mountain (24-14) and Cactus (20-17).

Karter Raban added a score to go along with his 79 yards on the ground on 10 carries, and caught a touchdown in the victory.

The Lobos head to Eastmark in Week 10 action Friday, Oct. 20. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

PARKER 39, TRIVIUM PREP 37

GOODYEAR — Trivium Prep. quarterback Vern Wolfley IV ran for four touchdowns and threw for another, but it wasn’t enough as Parker came out on top 39-37 on Friday night.

Wolfley completed 21 of 30 passes for 268 yards and a touchdown pass, and carried the ball 13 times for 176 yards and four scores for the Crimson Knights (1-7, 1-3 2A Gila), which started the season 0-6 before beating St. John Paull II on Oct. 6, 43-0.

Parker (5-3, 2-2 2A Gila) has won two straight and faces St. John Paul II (Oct. 20) and San Pasqual (Oct. 27) to end the season.
