Canyon del Oro and Pusch Ridge Christian Academy co-host a boys and girls basketball tournament and Flowing Wells and Valley Christian preside over girls tournaments this week as teams continue their seasons with holiday fare.

Canyon del Oro and Pusch Ridge are the sites for for the Northwest Desert Classic Dec. 26-29. Boys teams competing are: Canyon del Oro, Desert Christian, Marana, Pueblo, Sunnyside, Buena, Cholla, Pusch Ridge, Sabino and Sahuarita. Girls teams entered are: Canyon del Oro, Pusch Ridge, Desert Ridge, Ironwood Ridge, Sahuarita, Seton Catholic, Cienega and Desert Vista. Games begin at 10 a.m. Dec. 26-28. The finals are set for late afternoon on Saturday Dec. 29.

Flowing Wells hosts its annual Flowing Wells (Girls) Holiday Shootout Dec. 27-28.  Teams entered are: Casa Grande, Catalina, Deming, N.M., Desert Christiian, Flowing Wells, Nogales, Palo Verde, Rio Rico, Sahuaro, Tucson High and Vista Grande. Games start Thrusday Dec. 27 at 9 a..m. and continue through 4:30 p.m. Placement games are on Friday Dec. 28 and begin at 9 a.m. The 11th-place and 9th-place games are at 1:30 p.m.; 5th- and 7th-place games at 3 p.m.,  and championship and 3rd-place games at 4:30 p.m.

The 12th annual Valley Christain Girls Basketball Invitational is Dec. 27-29 at Valley Christian High. Teams entered are: Apache Junction, Bourgade Catholic, Phoenix Country Day,  Gilbert Christian, Horizon Honors, Maricopa, St. Johns, Tempe High, Tempe Prep and Valley Christian. Games run from 9 a.m. through 9 p.m.Thursday Dec. 27 and Friday Dec. 28. Placement games are Saturday Dec. 29 beginning at 9 a.m. and culminate with the title game at 2:20 p.m.
