Yo, Hoop It Up!

The U.S. Airways Center in downtown Phoenix once again will be the site of the annual Hoopin’ It Up At the Arena on Saturday (Dec. 22) and again on Jan. 19, in conjunction with the MLK holiday.

Boys’ and girls’ teams from the Valley, Prescott and the Native American communities of San Carlos and Whiteriver (Alchesay) will be on hand.

The event is run by Phoenix Greenway athletic director Jeff Feldman.

Saturday, Dec. 22

9:15 a.m. – Glendale Independence boys vs. Phoenix Cortez

11:30 a.m. – Scottsdale Prep boys vs. Phoenix Veritas Prep

1:45 p.m. – San Carlos girls vs. Whiteriver Alchesay

4 p.m. – Alchesay boys vs. San Carlos

6:15 p.m. – Phoenix Sunnyslope boys vs. Phoenix Thunderbird

8:30 p.m. – Phoenix Greenway boys vs. Phoenix Moon Valley

Saturday, Jan. 19

9:15 a.m. – Phoenix Washington boys vs. Glendale Apollo

11:30 a.m. – Phoenix Moon Valley girls vs. Glendale High

1:45 p.m. – Phoenix Greenway girls vs. Prescott

4 p.m. – Prescott boys vs. Cottonwood Mingus

6:15 p.m. – Phoenix Barry Goldwater boys vs. Phoenix Pinnacle

8:30 p.m. – Phoenix Horizon boys vs. North Canyon
