More triumphs for Millennium, Chaparral in badminton

The last badminton invitational of the 2010 season saw some familiar winners at the victory stand.

Millennium's Steph Vermillion captured the singles title and Chaparral's Stacey McGuire and Ashleigh Foltz were the doubles champs at the Independence Invitational at Independence High School.

Vermillion, who won the singles competition among No. 1 singles players at the Bobbi Forner Invitational a couple weeks ago. McGuire and Foltz won the doubles competition at the Chaparral Invitational in early September.

A lot of schools have not seen or played against one another this season and with 5A and 4A schools combined competing for one title the battle for the top spots will be interesting with a lack of familiarity entering the picture.
