From sun up to sun down, aia365.com is planning to cover the Sollenberger Classic from every angle on Saturday.
The coverage begins at 9 a.m. with aia365.com’s radio crew, Jim Grieshaber, Craig Grialou, Kandace Hurdle and Pablo Rios, setting the scene with a preview of Saturday’s games between Phoenix Desert Vista and Nevada Palo Verde and Lakeside Blue Ridge and Nevada Moapa Valley at University of Phoenix Stadium. Here’s a rundown of the people Grieshaber and Grialou are also planning to interview during their weekly two-hour Saturday radio show on 620 KTAR:
--A Chandler Hamilton administrator will talk about the logistics and preparation for Chandler Hamilton football’s upcoming trip to Ireland. The school’s marching band also is headed to Ireland.
--The rematch of the 2011 Division V state title game between Phoenix Northwest Christian and Yuma Catholic is set for Saturday at Northern Arizona University. Grieshaber and Grialou will talk to the head coaches before the big game.
--Next week’s big game in the state will feature California Santa Margarita and Phoenix Brophy Prep at Phoenix College. The head coaches from each team also are scheduled to join 620 KTAR as well as former Phoenix St. Mary’s and Arizona State’s talented point guard Dymond Simon, a recent 7-day contract signee by the Phoenix Mercury.
Game coverage by aia365.com’s staff kicks off with Saturday’s 3 p.m. game between Blue Ridge and Moapa Valley. Grieshaber and Dan Manucci will handle the play-by-play during the aia365.com’s webcast.
