High school football scrimmage commence this week (Wednesday Aug. 13 through Saturday Aug. 16) as more than 20  regular season games are on tap for zero week Friday Aug. 22 and Saturday Aug. 23.

Here are scrimmages for schools who have scheduled an opponent for their scrimmage. Some have chosen to hold intra-squad scrimmages only:

WEDNESDAY AUG. 13: -- Williams Field at Poston Butte, 6 p.m.; Brophy at Liberty, 6 p.m.; South Mountain at Campo Verde, 6 p.m.; Sahuarita at Salpointe, 6 p.m.; Hamilton, Queen Creek at Ironwood Ridge, 6 p.m.; Desert Edge at Goldwater, 6 p.m.

THURSDAY AUG. 14 -- North at Trevor Browne, 7 p.m.; Yuma at Gila Ridge, 7 p.m..

FRIDAY AUG. 15 -- Blue Ridge at St. Johns, 6 p.m.; Thatcher at Show Low, 6 p.m.; Kofa at Yuma Catholic, 7 p.m.; Parker at Lake Havasu, 7 p.m..

SATURDAY AUG. 16 -- Sedona Red Rock at Tuba City, 1 p.m.
